Opus Clip vs Vizard: the short answer

Verdict
At the same list price ($29/mo, or $14.50/mo billed yearly), Vizard gives twice the credits (600 vs 300), exports 4K on its entry paid plan, includes AI B-roll even on the free plan, and has the stronger reviews and Android app. Opus Clip has more editing extras on Pro (Auto SFX, dubbing in 25 languages, prompt-based clipping, XML export), a cheaper monthly Starter at $15 and an iOS app with far more ratings. Pick Vizard for minutes per dollar, Opus Clip for the deeper Pro toolset.

Best for Vizard
Creators who clip a lot of video each month, want 4K exports and scheduling to six networks, and value strong reviews and Android support.
A third option
StoryCut counts long videos, not minutes: 10 a month on Starter ($7/mo billed yearly), up to 150 minutes each, then styled captions, auto sound effects and eye contact correction (Pro). StoryCut publishes this page.

Credit math: what $29 a month buys

Both tools charge 1 credit per minute of uploaded video, so the credit count is what matters. At $29 a month, or $14.50 billed yearly, an Opus Clip Pro pack includes 300 credits, about 5 hours of source video, and Vizard Creator includes 600, about 10 hours. Vizard sells bigger Creator tiers in steps of 400 credits, each adding $19 a month ($9.50 billed yearly), so 1,000 credits cost $48 a month or $24 billed yearly. Opus Clip scales by adding Pro packs (up to 15), each with 300 more credits; seats go up to 4.

For four one-hour podcast episodes a month (240 minutes), one Opus Clip Pro pack or Vizard Creator covers it. For eight episodes (480 minutes), Opus Clip needs two packs ($58 a month, or $29 billed yearly), while Vizard Creator’s 600 credits still cover it.

Unused credits behave differently. Vizard’s monthly-plan credits stay valid for 2 months and yearly-plan credits for 13 months, but unused Creator credits are lost if you upgrade to Business. Opus Clip’s pricing page says unused credits roll over for 2 months, while its help center says yearly credits last 12 months. AI extras cost more on both: Vizard’s AI Edit uses 30 credits per minute, and Opus Clip’s dubbing 10 credits per minute.

Which should you choose?

Choose Vizard if you clip a lot of video: at the same $29 a month (or $14.50 billed yearly), it gives twice the credits of an Opus Clip Pro pack, exports 4K on the entry paid plan, schedules to six networks and has the stronger reviews and Android app. It is strict on refunds, and brand kits wait until Business.

Choose Opus Clip if you want more done to each clip inside the tool, such as Auto SFX, dubbing in 25 languages, prompt-based clipping or XML export for Premiere and DaVinci, or if you want a cheap monthly start with Starter at $15.

So, Opus Clip or Vizard? Vizard for the most video minutes per dollar; Opus Clip for the deeper Pro toolset.

Where StoryCut fits

Disclosure: StoryCut publishes this comparison. StoryCut is not a dedicated clip finder like Opus Clip or Vizard, and it doesn’t use credits. Its AI clips take an upload of 2 to 150 minutes or a YouTube link (up to 2 hours) and return 3 to 12 vertical clips with captions, a 0 to 100 virality score and reframing around faces and the active speaker. Each long video counts once, whatever its length: 1 a month on Free, 10 on Starter ($7/mo billed yearly), 50 on Pro and 100 on Business.

The clips open in an editor with 26 caption styles, including 6 Hormozi-style presets. On Pro ($14/mo billed yearly), sound effects are placed on key words, which Vizard doesn’t list, and magic zoom, clean audio, AI music and dubbing in 33 languages are one click each. Pro also corrects eye contact (10 videos a month), which Opus Clip doesn’t offer and Vizard doesn’t list. What StoryCut lacks: mobile apps, scheduling and an API, more than 12 clips per video, and formats other than 9:16. Its free plan adds a watermark, and it has no third-party reviews yet.
