What StoryCut does with an RP stream

Short answer: Paste the past broadcast of your roleplay session (Twitch, Kick or YouTube) or upload the file. StoryCut reads the whole conversation, picks the scenes that land, ends each one after its payoff, puts your facecam on top of the game and captions every clip. It works on any city you can record, NoPixel or your own: it reads the video, not the server.
Picked from the dialogue: RP scenes pay off in what people say, so StoryCut reads the transcript of the whole session before it picks. A clip starts at the setup and stops after the punchline, and the loudest reactions and every “clip that” count too.
Scenes, not seconds: Pick a clip length: Auto (15 to 80 s), under 30 s, 30 to 59 s or 60 to 89 s. Long enough for a negotiation, short enough for a feed. A clip that stops on a reaction runs about 3 seconds longer.
Facecam on top: Your webcam goes across the top (30 to 42% of the height) and the game below. RP edits that cut to another player’s view are checked clip by clip: a cam that moved gets its own box, and a part with no cam shows the whole game over a blurred copy.
Clip it before it’s gone: Twitch keeps past broadcasts 7 days, 14 for Affiliates and 60 for Partners, so clip a session soon after it ends. Subscriber-only VODs can’t be read: download those and upload the file.
Long sessions: A run takes up to 150 minutes, so a 6-hour session is 3 runs (2.5 h + 2.5 h + 1 h): the link gives the first 2.5 hours and the rest goes in as uploaded parts. Each run gives up to 12 clips.
GTA 6 RP: Not at launch. GTA VI comes out on November 19, 2026, on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S as a single-player game, with no roleplay support announced, so RP clips come from GTA V cities for now. StoryCut is not affiliated with or endorsed by Rockstar Games or Take-Two Interactive. Grand Theft Auto and GTA are their trademarks, named here only to say which game the clips come from.

How to clip a GTA RP stream

Paste the past broadcast
Copy the VOD link when the session ends: twitch.tv/videos/…, kick.com/<channel>/videos/… or a YouTube video. Or upload the file.

Check your facecam once
A card shows the box it found on a real frame of your stream. Looks right, Adjust or No facecam, and “Remember it for this channel” so your next session starts with it.

Get the scenes, best first
Up to 12 clips a run, scored, each with captions under your cam and a headline on its first seconds written from what is said.

Add context, then post
Name who is who in the headline, keep the streamer’s handle on screen if a campaign asks for it (a text overlay in the editor’s Branding panel), then export the MP4.

What are GTA RP clips?

Short clips of roleplay scenes from GTA cities such as NoPixel, posted on TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Reels or X: an arrest that goes sideways, a heist plan, a character moment. They work when the viewer can follow the scene on its own.

How do I clip a GTA RP stream?

Paste the past broadcast’s link into StoryCut (Twitch, Kick or YouTube) or upload the file. It picks the scenes from the dialogue, puts your facecam on top of the game and captions each clip; you review them, change a headline or a layout, and export.

Does it work with NoPixel or FiveM servers?

It works on the recording, whatever the server: StoryCut reads the video and its sound, it doesn’t connect to the game. Any city you can stream or record works.

My RP stream switches to other players’ views. What happens?

Each clip is checked on its own frames. A cam that moved gets its own box, and a part with no facecam shows the whole game over a blurred copy, so a POV switch doesn’t break the layout.

How long can an RP clip be?

Up to 89 seconds with the 60 to 89 s setting, or let Auto pick from 15 to 80 seconds. A clip that stops on a reaction runs about 3 seconds longer so the payoff stays in.

Can I clip someone else’s RP stream?

Only with permission, usually through a clipping campaign or the streamer’s own clipping program. Read the brief: RP campaigns often ask for context and the streamer’s handle on screen.

Will there be GTA 6 RP?

Not at launch. GTA VI comes out on November 19, 2026, on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S as a single-player game, with no roleplay support announced. FiveM, which most RP cities run on, works with GTA V on PC, and Rockstar’s own RP news this year was NoPixel V, on GTA V. Twitch’s CEO expects GTA VI multiplayer next year. So clip GTA V RP now, and GTA VI when its cities open.

Is there a free plan?
